Welcome to Scoil Aonghusa CNS
Scoil Aonghusa Community National School is a multi-denominational, developing school. In January 2018, we moved to our brand new building where our students enjoy state of the art facilities including eight spacious classrooms, support classrooms, two special classes, full sized sports hall, library, sensory room, Aistear room, O.T room, outdoor basketball court and play area.
One of the cornerstones of the CNS model is the promotion of Excellence in Education. Scoil Aonghusa CNS is very fortunate to have a dynamic, committed staff who offer a high quality education to all students. Innovative, Department of Education led initiatives such as Aistear, Literacy Lift Off, Ready Set Maths, Jolly Phonics, Scratch Programming and Building Bridges of Understanding ensure that students are challenged to reach their full potential. The holistic development of each and every student is further supported through engagement with DES programmes such as Health Promoting Schools, Active Schools and Green Schools. We have been awarded the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Plaque of Excellence for 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2019/2020 school years.
