Our school strives to provide high quality primary education for every child in line with the Primary School Curriculum and guidelines laid down by the Department of Education and Skills.

Our mission is to provide a new model of primary education that reflects Ireland in the 21st century. Mallow Community National School provides a welcome to each child in the community we serve and create learning opportunities in a setting of diversity and inclusion.

Our school caters for the physical, academic, social, emotional and spiritual needs of children within the school day in a supportive and caring environment.

The History of Community National Schools

Mallow Community  National School was the first Community National School to open in Munster. The first Community National Schools were opened in 2008 in Phibblestown and Porterstown in Co. Dublin. Other CNS schools are located at Carrigtwohill, Killarney, Naas, Co. Kildare, Navan, Co. Meath, Balbriggan, Co. Dublin, Citywest, Dublin 24 and Lucan. We are one of two new Community National Schools in Cork.  Additional schools will come on stream in the coming years.
