Our School aims to provide a happy, secure, friendly, learning environment, where children, parents, teachers, special needs assistants, ancillary staff and board of management work in partnership. In accordance with the requirements of the Children First Act 2015, Children First: National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2017, the Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post Primary Schools 2017 and Tusla Guidance on the preparation of Child Safeguarding Statements, the Board of Management of Scoil Aonghusa CNS has agreed the Child Safeguarding Statement set out in the above document.
Scoil Aonghusa Community National School aims to protect the well being of its students and staff by providing a safe and nurturing environment at all times. The school has drawn up a critical incident management plan as one element of the school’s policy and plan.
The aim of this Acceptable Use Policy is to ensure that pupils, and all other users, will benefit from learning opportunities offered by the school’s internet resources in a safe and effective manner.
In response to this time of uncertainty regarding school closures, we have formulated this policy to outline how the school will maintain the link between school and home.
