Green Schools at Scoil Aonghusa CNS

Nov 4, 2018 | 4th To 6th Classes, Activities At Scoil Aonghusa CNS, News

We are currently working on the theme of Biodiversity in our Green Schools Programme. Biodiversity is the fifth Green Schools theme and looks at steps which can be taken to increase awareness of the importance of native plants, animals and habitats, and increase species-richness in the locality.

Our Green Schools Committee is made up of children from first to sixth class. Each class are undertaking varies projects in the school environment around the theme of biodiversity as part  of our action plan.

Our 5th and 6th class have been planting bulbs by the river walk. We look forward to watching these grow during springtime. Thank you to Marian Ward and The National Learning Network for helping out with the project.
